I disagree with the need for an executive summary. Given that the majority of the report is short informational pieces on a variety of issues, I find it hard to imagine the content of such a summary. Perhaps Bruce and Steve could provide an outline of such a summary for us to discuss at 3:00.
A different approach to a summary is to state the “Conclusion” at the front of the report after the “Mission & Goals” portion. As I stated before, the majority of the report is short informational pieces on a variety of issues. If people want more information to understand why we came to this conclusion, they can continue reading. However, I think the majority of readers want to read that one paragraph – the conclusion. The easier it is to find, the better.
