SPOKANE, Dec. 13, 2012 – The City of Spokane is joining the state Business Licensing Service (BLS) to streamline its business registration and renewal processes.
Spokane businesses can register or renew endorsements and licenses in a single process online at business.wa.gov/BLS. Registrations can also be sent to state business licensing offices or city hall.
“This partnership adds speed and convenience for our businesses applying for a city business registration,” said Gavin Cooley, the City’s Chief Financial Officer. “Plus, they get the added benefit of applying for a city registration along with state agency endorsements, such as liquor licensing, in one online location to get up and running in fewer steps.”
Spokane, with more than 16,000 local businesses, joins neighbors Spokane Valley, Millwood, and Liberty Lake as part of the 55-city group of Washington municipalities that combine city registrations with state agency licensing into a unified process for businesses.
