Learn how you can take part in Department rule development

Attend a public meeting or hearing
Find out where and when to comment on rules that the Department is working on by viewing the rule-making calendar. You may attend and testify in person at a public meeting or hearing, or provide written comment to the rule's contact person.
Subscribe to our rules notification list
Once you become a subscriber the Department will notify you by e-mail of rule-making actions from preproposal to adoption. The Department will also notify you of Interpretive Statements (such as, Excise and Property Tax Advisories) issued or canceled.
