Q:  What does annual revaluation mean?

A:  Each county assessor must maintain an active and systematic program of revaluation on a continuous basis. All taxable real property within a county must be revalued annually, and all taxable real property within a county must be physically inspected at least once every six years. Assessors will use market data and statistical methods to annually update the assessed values for each property in the county. This method will generally result in moderate changes in value each year.
