Q:  Does the replacement part have to have a useful life of more than one year to qualify for the exemption for farm machinery and equipment?

A:

No.  There is no useful life requirement for replacement parts.

However, farm machinery and equipment for which replacement parts are purchased must have a useful life of a year or more, regardless of the useful life of the part.  Qualifying machinery and equipment does not include property with a useful life of less than one year.
