Before you apply

• Be sure to carefully review the "How to apply" instructions in the job announcement.
  

• Most job announcements direct you to apply online. We strongly urge that you do this and avoid applying with a paper form.
  

• Do not submit transcripts, resumes, or Veterans' Preference documents unless stated on the announcement. They will normally be requested at the time of interview or job offer.
  

• If you are eligible to work in the U.S., you can apply to work at the Department of Revenue. Otherwise, visit the Immigration and Naturalization Services web site to learn more about work authorization permits.
