    of $34,000 or 50 percent of their residence value, whichever is greater.
    Those with incomes between $15,001 and $18,000 receive an exemption of 	
    $30,000 or 30% of their residence value, whichever is greater, but no more
    than $50,000.  The value of the residence is also frozen as of January 1, 1995,
    or the initial year of application, whichever is later.
