* The Bellevue (King County) convention and trade center tax
rate of 3 percent was effective January 1989 and is levied on
establishments with 60 or more units.
(1) Langley (Island County) imposed a new tax of 1 percent
effective December 1, 1997.
(2) Coulee Dam (Okanogan County) imposed a new tax of 2 percent
effective November 1, 1997.
(3) The special hotel/motel tax collected by Buckley and
Eatonville is now distributed to Pierce County instead of to
the cities.
(4) Fife (Pierce County) increased its special hotel/motel
tax from 2 percent to 5 percent effective December 1, 1997.
