Business Licensing Service adds Woodinville partnership
OLYMPIA – Sept. 18, 2015 – The city of Woodinville, the heart of Western Washington wine country, today joins 66 other cities in partnership with the state Business Licensing Service.
Woodinville businesses will now use the Business Licensing Service to register or renew their city licenses. The streamlined service is a one-stop shop bringing city licensing requirements together with other required state registrations, such as liquor licenses.
BLS is a clearinghouse for business licensing, offering nearly 400 licenses, registrations and endorsements from 11 state agencies and partner cities. The Washington State Department of Revenue (Revenue) manages the Business Licensing Service.
The BLS is one of the few systems in the country that allows a business to become licensed with cities at the same time it registers with state agencies.
Woodinville is a King County community of 11,000 along the Sammamish River. It has a bustling tourist industry due in part to its wealth of local wineries, breweries and hospitality businesses. More than 1400 businesses currently registered with the city will have their city license added to their state business license.
