1 Board Orders The Department remains concerned about the amount of time it takes for the orders to be shipped following the hearing and the number of orders being issued. The Board has made progress in reducing the time between hearings and shipping orders.

2016 Quarterly Breakdown:
  • Qtr. 1, 2016: 315 Orders Shipped, 94 Timely, Avg # of days: 128
  • Qtr. 2, 2016: 101 Orders Shipped, 67 Timely, Avg # of days: 49
  • Qtr. 3, 2016: 51 Orders Shipped, 5 Timely, Avg # of days: 69

The Department is concerned about the number of petitions where a hearing has been held and no order has been shipped as of August 10, 2016.

Outstanding Orders Backlog:
  • Assessment Year 2014: 14 petitions with no order, Avg # of days since hearing: 201
  • Assessment Year 2015: 127 petitions with no order, Avg # of days since hearing: 101
We continue to encourage the Board to place equal priority on shipping orders as on holding hearings.

The Board reported no hearings were held in July 2016.		 Pending To determine if the Board of Equalization has met the requirement, the Department expects the Board of Equalization to provide:
  • An excel spreadsheet listing the following data for 2015 assessment year petitions resulting in a hearing held after July 31, 2016 through October 31, 2016:
    • Petition Number
    • Hearing Date
    • Date the order was shipped
