Shelton joins state’s combined licensing partnership

OLYMPIA, WASH. – Sept. 13, 2018 – Today, the Department of Revenue announced Shelton is the newest city to join the state’s business licensing service (BLS) one-stop. Nearly 1,700 Shelton businesses now have access to the new streamlined local licensing process.

BLS is the state’s business licensing one-stop. The service helps Washington businesses apply for and renew local licenses quickly and conveniently in a single payment process. Revenue manages one of the few systems nationwide that allows businesses to register with state agencies and cities simultaneously.

The secure My DOR portal that most taxpayers use to report their taxes is the same service they use to manage more than 400 state licenses and registrations. Find out more at Business Licensing Service.
