Waitsburg adds Revenue’s combined licensing service

OLYMPIA, Wash. – June 24, 2021 – The city of Waitsburg in Walla Walla County today is the newest partner of the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).

BLS streamlines the business licensing process by offering an online portal where businesses can get and renew more than 400 state and local endorsements in one convenient location.

Founded 140 years ago in the rolling hills of Walla Walla County, Waitsburg is home to more than 1,200 residents and dozens of businesses. The Walla Walla Valley viticultural area has 120 wineries – the highest concentration of wineries in the state.

With the new partnership, Waitsburg’s businesses are connected to the same combined licensing system used by dozens of state programs, such as those for liquor licenses and minor work permits. It also is used in regional communities including Clarkston, Pullman, Walla Walla, and the nearby Tri-Cities. Find the list of all 174 BLS partners on the City license endorsements page.
