This site provides 4 reports which break down the taxable retail sales reported for local jurisdictions above the state’s 6.5% sales tax rate.
Taxable retail sales and unit count
Lists the number of taxpayers who reported and the taxable amount for every unincorporated county and city location, and the county total. It shows the same period for the previous year and percent change.
Taxable retail sales by city
Provides the taxable retail sales reported by every type of business vs. the sales made specifically by businesses classified as Retailer (NAICS 44 or 45).
Taxable retail sales by county
Provides the same information at the county level only.
Taxable retail sales statewide by industry
Lists the number of taxpayers who reported and the taxable amount by pre-select NAICS groups. It shows the same period for the previous year and percent change. (See QBR Table 6 for the state’s 6.5% breakdown.)
When is this data updated?
Our goal is to post new data as follows:
Quarter 1 - early August (includes January, February, March monthly and Quarter 1 reporters)
Quarter 2 - early November (includes April, May, June monthly and Quarter 2 reporters)
Quarter 3 - early February (includes July, August, September monthly and Quarter 3 reporters)
Quarter 4 - early May (includes October, November, December monthly, Quarter 4 and Annual reporters)
Calendar year - approximately 1 week after the Quarter 4 posting
