Sales tax now applies to some services

Starting October 1: Some business services are now subject to retail sales tax, as required by state law, ESSB 5814. When you buy these services, vendors should add sales tax to your bill. Temporary registration certificate

If you are conducting temporary business and need a Temporary Registration Certificate, complete and submit the form below. We will respond to your email request within 2 business days. You cannot register for temporary events any earlier than 6 months (180 days) before the event’s scheduled date.

You will receive:

  • a confirmation message with your Unified Business Identifier (UBI)/Account ID via email.
  • your Temporary Registration Certificate by mail at the address provided below.
