Business Licensing Service penalty waiver

License renewals are due by the expiration date. Renewals received after the expiration date are charged a late penalty fee of half of the endorsement fees up to $150. HB 1742 allows the department to waive the penalty if the business meets the criteria.

Do I qualify for a late renewal penalty waiver?

You may qualify if you have not renewed late in the last 24 months and you have an endorsement expiration date of July 31, 2023, and forward. You may be subject to delinquency fees required by the regulatory agency which we do not have the authority to waive.

How do I request a late renewal penalty waiver?

• Login to your account at My DOR.
  • When you file your renewal, it will show if you qualify or not.
• If you have not submitted your renewal yet, send a web message through your My DOR account.
• Contact us via Secure Message.

To avoid termination of your license endorsements, you must renew all endorsements, submit all required documents (if applicable) and pay all fees, including the penalty fee. If the penalty fee waiver is approved the penalty fee will be refunded to you. For more information, call 360-705-6741.
