Kelso businesses benefit from "one-stop" licensing shop

OLYMPIA – March 17, 2017 – Starting today, business owners in Cowlitz County can save time and effort when registering or renewing their business license. Kelso is now a member of the state’s Business Licensing Service, which allows businesses in member cities to apply and pay for required city and state licenses with one application and fee.

Kelso now joins Longview and 65 other communities as members of the Business Licensing Service. There are 1,400 licensed businesses in this Cowlitz County community of 12,000 residents. Kelso charges a $50 annual fee to license most city businesses.
