Mukilteo joins state combined licensing service

OLYMPIA, WASH. – Feb 1, 2018 – Today, the Department of Revenue announced that Mukilteo is the newest local partner to join the state business licensing service (BLS).

The partnership with BLS links local business licensing with state registration requirements. Mukilteo business owners can now apply for state and city-issued registrations together online. This “one-stop-shop” also allows businesses to renew those licenses easily through BLS each year.

Mukilteo is the 75th Washington city to support its local businesses by joining the state service. BLS boosts the local business community by simplifying license application, renewal and payment processes.

BLS is a clearinghouse that offers about 400 registrations for state agency programs and cities. Learn more about BLS at http://bls.dor.wa.gov, including a complete list of partner cities.

Revenue manages one of the few systems nationwide allowing businesses to simultaneously register with state agencies and cities in a single transaction.
