Kalama links to Revenue’s streamlined licensing solution

OLYMPIA, Wash. – April 16, 2020 – The city of Kalama today joins its regional neighbors in the Department of Revenue’s Business Licensing Service (BLS).

The Cowlitz County community of 3,000 residents is now linked to dozens of southwest Washington neighbors including Kelso, Longview and Vancouver as it adds Revenue’s streamlined process for state and local licensing.

BLS works for more than 120 communities statewide, with more than 20 additional cities slated to become partners this year. A list of partner cities is listed on the city license endorsements page.

The Department of Revenue is Washington state’s primary tax agency, nationally recognized as a trusted leader in tax administration and customer service. Revenue administers nearly 60 categories of taxes that help fund vital public services. It also oversees programs that return money to the public, including the Working Families Tax Credit and Unclaimed Property.
