Requirements and fees
The city of Edgewood requires a license for all businesses located within city limits, or conducting business within city limits. If you are not sure if you will do business within the city limits, contact the city directly before you apply.
Along with a Business License Application filed with the Department of Revenue, Home-based businesses must submit a Home Occupation Certificate. Until the Home Occupation Certificate is completed, the city of Edgewood endorsement cannot be approved. The city of Edgewood will contact the business license applicant by email or letter requesting the required information after the application has been submitted.
The City of Edgewood is running a Food Truck Pilot Program in 2026 in place of requiring a Temporary Use Permit. For more information, please visit the city’s Food Truck Program page or contact the city directly.

If you will have more than one business located on a single property, you must complete a separate application for each business.
