Starting October 1: Some business services are now subject to retail sales tax, as required by state law, ESSB 5814. When you buy these services, vendors should add sales tax to your bill. Attend a public meeting or hearing
Find out where and when to comment on rules that the department is working on by viewing the rule making agenda. You may attend and testify in person at a public meeting or hearing, or provide written comment to the rule's contact person.
Subscribe to our rules notification list
Once you become a subscriber the department will notify you by e-mail of rule making actions from preproposal to adoption. The department will also notify you of Interpretive Statements (such as, Excise and Property Tax Advisories) issued or canceled.
