E-withhold process and procedures

Information contained on this page is provided to assist financial institutions to meet the requirements of electronic service of notices and orders to withhold and deliver (NOWD).  Electronic NOWD service is called E-Withhold, and authority for this new process can be found in Revised Code of Washington (RCW) 82.32.235.  Additional procedural information is provided in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) 458-20-21701.

The Department of Revenue (DOR) can adjust procedures for financial institutions encountering difficulties responding to E-Withhold service.  More information about mitigation can be found within the procedures document found on this page.
