Access types for online accounts
If you are an Administrator, you can grant online access to your business’s online tax and license accounts. You may want to do this if you have a bookkeeper, tax preparer, registered agent, or other third-party representative. Or, you may be a bookkeeper or tax preparer and need to grant access to your client so that they can access their filings for their business.
There are two types of access types that you can assign each user.
Administrator – Unlimited access that allows users to:
- File a tax return
- Apply for business license
- Make payments
- Manage user access for other users
- Update business information
- Apply for reseller permit and tax credits
- Update refund account information
Account Manager – Restricted access that only allows users to:
- File a tax return
- Apply for business license
- Make payments
You can also further restrict permissions for Account Managers on tax accounts:
- Prepare and Pay – file and amend tax returns and make tax payments
- Make payment – make tax payments only
- Preparer – file and amend tax returns only
