General business license

The city of Bonney Lake requires a license for all businesses located within city limits, or conducting business within city limits. If you are not sure if you will do business within the city limits, contact the city directly before you apply.
All businesses performing activities requiring a building permit or development permit must have an active Bonney Lake business license per Bonney Lake Municipal Code, Chapter 5.08.
If you will have more than one business located on a single property, you must complete a separate application for each business.

Home businesses

If your business is in a residence within the city, you must comply with Bonney Lake Municipal Code 18.22.010. For more information on home occupation requirements, contact the planning division directly planningbuilding@cobl.us.
Along with a Business License Application filed with the Department of Revenue, Home Occupation businesses must submit a Home Occupation Application. Until the Home Occupation Application is submitted, the city of Bonney Lake endorsement cannot be approved. The city of Bonney Lake will contact the business by email or letter requesting the required information after the application has been submitted.
