Woodinville city endorsement

The City of Woodinville requires a license for all businesses located within city limits, or conducting business within city limits. If you are not sure if you will do business within the city limits, contact the city directly before you apply.

If you will have more than one business located on a single property, you must complete a separate application for each business.

All licenses approved for issuance are always conditioned upon compliance with all applicable ordinances, regulations, and statutes of the city of Woodinville. The license shall be in addition to any other license required under the law or ordinance of the city. Issuance of a business license does not imply compliance with other city codes.

If you are a nonprofit business, you may be exempt from city fees. To qualify you must submit a copy of your business’ IRS 501(c)3 certificate with your application.

For more information on home business requirements, contact the city directly. Small scale home businesses (level 1) that are accessory to the main residential use and fit the definition of Woodinville Municipal Code 21.41.030 are required to obtain a city business endorsement and fill out a Home Business Permit Application. There is no additional cost for Home Business Permits Level 1.

More involved home businesses are referred to as Home Business Permits (level 2) and are defined by Woodinville Municipal Code 21.43.020. If you have a business in your home or on your personal property that fits this definition, in addition to a city business endorsement you are required to fill a Home Business Permit Application and obtain a separate Home Business Permit Level 2, which has an additional fee.
